Position Description:
The Client Solutions Specialist plays a critical role in business development whose sole responsibility is to enhance the ongoing viability of the Align Center by continuously identifying, managing and exploiting emerging business development areas and capitalizing on business opportunities. The Client Solutions Specialist for the Align Center for Workforce Development will be responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth and optimizing marketing strategies to ensure profitability and sustainability over the long-term operation of the facility while ensuring that the services provided meet the needs and expectations of its clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Negotiates and closes business deals that promote sustained revenue.
- Develops formal proposals for clients based on needs and executes follow through.
- Analyzes and implements sales strategies and business plan.
- Evaluates and improves sales with existing and new customers.
- Identifies customer needs and develops short- and long-term solutions for client success.
Marketing:
- Liaises with Marketing, and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
- Identifies new clients by researching and creating networking opportunities.
- Evaluates and improves sales, marketing, and branding strategies.
Business Development:
- Monitors revenue streams and identifies opportunities to increase profitability.
- Assesses and advises on potential joint ventures, expansions and new partnerships.
- Monitors revenue streams and identifying opportunities to increase profitability.
- Establishes networks with industry specialists, maintains valued customer relationships, and negotiates contracts.
- Performs competitor analysis to obtain an increased market share.
- Identifies and develops new lines of business based on consumer needs.
- Analyzes and expands business operations for sustained growth.
Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in business development strategies and marketing in an equivalent role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business development or marketing or similar.
- Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist, or similar position, in a related industry.
- Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
- Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
- Competency in negotiating and closing business deals.
- Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitive behavior.
- Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
- Ability to advise and provide input on sales process improvements.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, research, time management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to be a self-starter and use creative solutions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid Michigan Driver’s license and good driving record are required.

Demonstrated ability to take comprehensive notes. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district, state and federal requirements. Demonstrated good judgment, maturity, reliability, responsibility, confidentiality and professionalism. Proficient in the use of business machines, including scanner, fax machine, phone system and copy machine. Ability to score at the proficient level on tests for Microsoft Word and Excel, or Google Docs and Sheets. Applicants who type 50 wpm may be given preference.
